Humane Society of the US Dog House Plans Excellent plans for a simple angled roof dog house and some top notch general advice about dog house planning and outdoor dogs. My highest recommendation, check out the whole site, it is beautifully designed and packed with information.

Harry and Sal's Dog House The internet's first dog house website. A richly detailed and well illustrated how-to-guide on building an A-frame dog shelter. This plan is simple and could be the basis for a fully enclosed house. Isometric drawings show you how it is done.

A page titled "Is Your Dog Saying Roof, Roof?" The look of this dog house plan dog house is excellent, the roofline and off-center door reminds me of a Craftsman style bungalow. When I read this website, I felt vindicated by how similar our ideas were in so many ways. It is very descriptive with regard to construction specifics. Front and side elevation drawings are shown.

Build Your Own Dog House. I told them about my dream that someday the sun will rise on a world with a few less eyesore dog shantys and a few more warm, dry dogs. They sent me some generic e-mail thanking me for my interest in their television program. I am apparently the only hominid on this pulsating blue orb who doesn't tune in weekly. But I'm not bitter about it. This page has some a couple cool pictures and a list of materials that you might find useful.

The Perfect Dog House. Loosely based on a design that the US Army uses, these detailed drawings (in particular the 4X8 sheets showing cut out dimensions) demonstrate clearly the type of detailed plans that people should make before starting into this kind of project.
